Dr. Ir. Wahyu Purbowasito Setyo Waskito, M.Sc. is the Deputy for Accreditation at Indonesia’s National Standardization Agency (BSN) and Secretary of the National Accreditation Committee (KAN). With over 15 years of experience in biotechnology and quality infrastructure—including standardization, conformity assessment, and metrology—he has led national and international initiatives to strengthen product quality and regulatory alignment. A graduate of Tokyo University of Agriculture, Japan, he holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and is fluent in English and Japanese. Dr. Wahyu is a certified lead assessor for ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 13485, and ISO 22000, and has represented Indonesia in global standardization forums. He also serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Biotechnology Consortium and advisor to multiple professional associations. His work bridges science, policy, and strategic leadership in advancing national standards.
